Capt Saul

As Galveston BOI (born on island), Capt. Saul has spent his entire life on the water. His passion for fishing began at an early age, starting as a deckhand when he was just 11 years old. Even before high school, Saul knew fishing was more than a hobby — it was the career he wanted to pursue. After years of hands-on experience learning the industry as a deckhand, Saul earned his captain’s license at just 21 years old. Today, he specializes in offshore fishing trips, his personal favorite, where he enjoys exploring new waters and learning something new every time he heads out.

For Capt. Saul, running a charter is about more than fishing — it’s about creating unforgettable experiences, meeting new people, and sharing the excitement of the ocean with every trip. This captain looks forward to enjoying your Galveston fishing charter with you.

Deckhand Austin

Since joining Galveston Sea Ventures in the summer of 2023, this young crew member has enjoyed every opportunity to spend time on the water doing what he loves most. He enjoys helping guests have a great experience on the water and is always ready to lend a hand around the boat. As a deckhand, you will often find him baiting hooks, prepping tackle, keeping the boat clean, and making sure guests are taken care of throughout the trip.

Originally from Dallas and proudly considered an IBC (Islander By Choice) rather than a BOI, he balances work on the charter boats with attending Ball High School, where he is set to graduate in May 2026
